The identification of prints and book illustrations, can often be established by focusing on their material aspects. I carry out expertise of printed images by visual analysis of the materials and techniques of the impressions themselves, by comparison with other copies, by art technological source research and by technical analysis of inks, colours and paper, including reconstructions.
